Research on Electromagnetic Scattering Characteristics of Transmission Tower with Different Tower Types in Short Wave Band Based on the Characteristic Mode Theory

This research aims to provide a suitable method analyze high-frequency electromagnetic scattering from extra-high voltage (EHV) transmission line towers with different tower types using characteristic mode theory (CMT). Different the traditional idea of passive protection based on spatial avoidance, this combines existing and CMT modal decomposition decompose total responses into superposition through mathematical operators energy relations. The realizes correlation analysis between structural characteristics field variation, which provides ideas for future application towers. In paper, simulation calculations EHV lines are carried out, results compared verified those moments (MoM). show that structure will affect intensity, current larger weight factor dominate degree influence. Compared method, maximum relative error three structures does not exceed 3%, verifies reliability validity method.
